Tony Blackburn made his first radio appearance on 28th July 1964 on Radio
Caroline South. When BBC Radio One commenced broadcasting on 30thSeptember 1967, Tony presented the daily Breakfast Show, and was the first discjockey on the new network. He hosted the Breakfast Show until 1974 when hetook over the Morning Show for several years. Until recently Tony presented the breakfastshow for The Classic Gold Network, which transmits across 18 stations. Tony is alegend of the airwaves and has become a household name through his DJ-ing, TVShows, and he inspired the cult of the radio DJ. He is well remembered forpresenting BBCA s world famous A Top Of The PopsA from the late 1960A s tothroughout the 1970A s. He continues to make regular guest appearances on a widerange of television shows, such as A IA m a Celebrity ... Get me Out of Here!A in 2002which was a huge success - he was crowned King of the Jungle!
